Cadenza, aka Oliver Rodigan, is a British producer who spent much of 2014 on tour with Major Lazer. Once the touring came to a close, he stationed himself back in the UK to focus on his individual releases. The first of these is “Electric Blocks,” featuring verses from Fem Fel, a songwriter/rapper who is also from the UK.
“Electric Blocks” is the result of effortlessly combining hip-hop, dancehall and electronic vibes all into one addictive song. Backed by Cadenza’s party-ready vibes and fueled by Fem Fel’s relentless flow, the single is an incredible collaboration and it’s out now on The Full Hundred.

Touring with Major Lazer must have been quite the ride. What was that like?
That was a wicked experience. Diplo is definitely someone i have always looked up to as a producer and a DJ so to get an opportunity to be part of his project was definitely a moment. In fact i remembered that when Major Lazer first played the Red Bull Notting Hill Carnival party, I got the “you’re not on the list, now beat it” line from the door girl so its funny how things work out.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Reserved, observant and determined

“Electric Blocks” is your first release of the year and it has left us impatient for more. What else can we look forward to in 2015?
My next two records are very different from each other. First I’m linking back up with Kiko Bun and Loyle Carner too then after that I have a cut with Stylo G and Busy Signal.
