Swedish indie pop/electronic band Miike Snow has kept off the radar for a while, but they just returned with a brand new single. “Heart Is Full” is the highly acclaimed trio’s first new music to be released in about two years.

Miike Snow was formed in 2007 and consists of producers Christian Karlsson, who is half of Galantis, Pontus Winnberg, and songwriter Andrew Wyatt. The group has been on a two-year hiatus, taking time to explore different sounds and avenues, but ultimately returning to work on their third full-length album, which comes next year.

“Heart Is Full” is diverse and impressively produced. It’s a masterly fused combination of futuristic Miike Snow-esque synths along with harder hop hop drums. It’s like they never left, but came back with a vengeance.

The transformative track is the first to be released from the group’s forthcoming LP, iii, which is set for global release next year. “Heart Is Full” premiered worldwide as Zane Lowe’s “World Record” on Apple Music’s Beats 1 and can be streamed in its entirety at Stereogum. A music video directed by Lance Drake will premiere next week.

“It’s the original Miike Snow sound, but taken to the next level.” –Pontus Winnberg
