With a new year comes new music. On Christmas day, American electronic-rock band MGMT announced via Twitter that “2016 is the year MGMT re-dominates your mind hole.”

Known for catchy hits such as “Kids” and “Electronic Feels,” the Connecticut-based band’s music mainly consists of upbeat tempos with electronic undertones, which even earned them a Grammy Best New Artist nod in 2010.

Their self-titled album was released back in 2013, and having not played a show since Coachella back in 2014, it was pondered when and even if the band would make a sudden comeback. So when MGMT released this Tweet on Christmas day hinting at a possible and promising return, fans received the holiday gift of eagerly expecting brand new, fun and electric music in 2016.
