CRSSD Fest 2016 landed at Waterfront Park in San Diego, California on March 5th and 6th. The festival’s sophomore year (and third installment of the fest) was flooded by fans who brought vibes that resonated with the Coachella’s chilled-out Yuma Tent. Disco music cascaded from The City Steps and The Palms stages throughout the day and night as a sold-out crowd danced seemingly nonstop, while live music boomed from speakers on the Ocean View stage.
CRSSD Festival boasted big-name artists in an intimate setting, placed gracefully on the waterfront. The main stage was exclusive to live sets, The City Steps to two-hour extended sets (Hot Since 82, Ben UFO, Marco Plex, and more), and the Palms to house favorites both underground and well-known (Tiga, Skream, Claude VonStroke, Jamie Jones, and Gorgon City to name a few).Though the festival isn’t perfect quite yet (only one entrance, long drink lines) the pros more than outweighed any cons. Check out some of the too-good-to-be-true pros:

What else can you ask for when dancing your tail feather than gorgeous sunsets that frame pirate ships and private yachts? Even through the “downpour” (or light mist to anyone outside of California) Saturday night, attendees enjoyed sunny skies, cool vibes, strong drinks, and delicious food.
OCEAN VIEW LIVE STAGE
Gesaffelstein, Rezz, Gryffin, Bondax, Skylar Spence, Ryan Hemsworth, Tycho, Hi-Lo, and Gorgon City Live prepped the stage Saturday and Sunday for headliners Odezsa and Chet Faker. The stage brought an amazing atmosphere to the festival, allowing fans the unique experience of completely live music.

The layout of Waterfront Park in San Diego is simple, allowing fans to walk straight back and easily find their favorite artists (and their friends). This year, The Palms got a groovy update, making it appear as if the musician was playing from deep within a palmy jungle.

CRSSD Fest has an extreme sense of community. Attendees dub each other “CRSSD Family,” rather than strangers. Attendees danced together, smiled together, and splashed around in the warm water fountains together.
