Norwegian DJ and producer Kygo, (born Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll), has announced he is set to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games. Although the identities of the other artists performing during the ceremony remain unknown, it is a sure bet that Kygo will be one of them. This will be yet another huge mark for electronic music.

Kygo, 24, posted the news this morning via Instagram:

This is big news for Kygo, on top of his announcement a few days ago that he will be launching a fashion line next week. He has expressed his excitement and honor to be a part of this worldwide event, as he has always been a sports fan.

The 2016 Closing Ceremony will be at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday, August 21. Also be sure to tune into the Olympic Channel when it launches on Sunday after the ceremony.
