Electronic duo, Zeds Dead, has been killing the EDM scene for the past couple years with an enormous catalogue of remixes and hits such as “DNA,” “Too Young,” “Stardust,” “Frontlines” with NGHTMRE, “Blame” wit Diplo and many more.
After the launch of their record label Deadbeats, the Canadian duo is enlisting Nebbra as the solo talent for their label’s debut full-length EP, You. The French artists teases the forthcoming four-track EP, which is out Nov. 4, through the enigmatic tone of its lead single, “You,” featuring Mike Sabath.
It was a unanimous decision for the track to carry the weight as the EP’s title track. Nebbra captures the essence of Deadbeats through “You” as he evokes suspense and curiosity with layers of weaving synths and an ominous melody. His production paired with Mike Sabath’s impressive vocals and confrontational lyrics provides a stimulating musical experience enticing to all.
Nebbra has already made an impression in the music scene after making his way in about two years ago. He’s won five out of five remix competitions including contests for Lily Allen, Phantogram, Karin Park, Cage The Elephant and Party Thieves. This lead to several high profile official remix opportunities for artists such as Selena Gomez, Zeds Dead, Lemaitre, and even Skrillix’s label OWSLA.
Not only has Nebbra created hot remixes such as Odesza’s “Say My Name,” Adventure Club’s “Gold,” Azealia Bank, “Chasing Time,” and many more, but a hard hitting single called “Darkness.” One of his remixes was hand-selected by Skrillex for his Skrillex Select Playlist. With over 17 million Soundcloud listens, four million YouTube steams, three million Spotify steams and a vastly growing fan base of over 36,000 followers, Nebbra looks towards a successful future beginning with the release of his first EP on Deadbeats.
