I have yet to meet one person who isn’t head over heels for Keys N Krates. The triumphant triad’s refreshing release “Right Here” on Dim Mak features Bay Area producer KRANE (formally KRNE) whose trippy trap style landed him a spot on TOKiMONSTA and Anderson .Paak.’s 2015 jam “Put It Down.” KRANE’s 2017 is off to a killer start; RunTheTrap and Dancing Astronaut recognized him as an “Artist To Watch.” His timely Ekali collaborative track “Akira” created buzz due to it’s symphonic sections that transition into bold breaks akin to Yellow Claw’s 2014 hit “Till It Hurts.”

Keys N Krates’ Adam Tune, David Matisse and Jr. Flo consistently threw down during the course of 2016/early 2017, most recently with their Jan. 17 music video for “Love Again (feat. Ouici).” Sassy feminine vocals set the tone of “Right Here,” challenging the songstress’ object of affection with an unwavering statement: “If you really want to love me down. Come baby if you’re ready now.” The keyboard-playing bad boys generate an uplifting rhythm – one with few and far between thundering tempo changes. With festival culture becoming the breeding ground of brash bass drops, it’s really nice to hear something different for a change.
