5 Seconds of Summer opener Hey Violet released “Guys My Age” on Sept. 20, 2016. Hey Violet is a Los Angeles pop-bunk band that rocked the moniker “Cherri Bomb” (inspired by The Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb”) prior to 2015. “Guys My Age” ranked No. 2 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. Lead vocalist Rena Lovelis’ grungy good looks and innocent voice spewing out lustful lines, makes the song super-hot. “I haven’t seen my ex since we broke up,” hummed Lovelis. “Probably ’cause he didn’t wanna grow up. Now I’m out and wearing something low-cut. ‘Bout to get attention from a grownup.”

Today, the Big Apple’s Prince Fox revealed his future pop rendition of Hey Violet’s tune. Fox builds a high pitch, synthesized sample of Rena’s singing and programs the percussion at an allegro tempo; these tools add an irresistibly carefree dimension to the original version. Check it out below:
