Helena Legend first became recognized in the electronic dance music scene when her debut single “Girl From The Sky” shot to the top of the Australian club charts, and remained No. 1 for four straight weeks. She has dedicated a lot of her talent and hard work, which resulted in multiple successful tracks such as “Pasilda” and “Shake It.”
Now, the producer, singer and songwriter dropped her newest EP, No Explanations – Part 1, which features her latest hit single, “RU Feeling It.” The EP features futuristic melodies, rhythmic basslines and sultry vocals making her sound more mature and more experimental than her past work.
“RU Feeling It” is a sexy collaboration with the duo LYRE, who are depicted in this very cool music video shot in Shanghai, China. The plot of the video is inspired by “Tibetan Book Of The Death” and the concept of “Ego Death,” which can be defined as “complete loss of subjective self-identity.” In Jungian psychology the synonymous term ‘psychic death’ is used, which refers to a fundamental transformation of the psyche. It’s about correlations to what it’s like to have an out-of-body experience.
Be sure to check out the rest of Helena’s EP, where she makes her own vocal debut in “Illusion,” and closes the EP with island rhythms and fellow Australian Blake Rose’s smooth voice on “Getaway.”
