In the midst of the electric chaos that is Miami’s Winter Music Conference (WMC), one must take a breath, or two, or three, and admire the scenery. It may seem impossible, but when you combine the best house and techno acts with a historic beach park, you will melt in the sand while your ears and mind go on a journey of beats and exploration. This is the Rapture Electronic Music Festival.

The first year festival will take place at the historic Virginia Key Beach Park, an island 15 minutes away from downtown Miami, on Thurs., March 23rd. Rapture will showcase some of the best house and techno DJs.

Phase one has been released and includes AndHim, tINI, Guy J, Art Department, Ellen Allien, Fur Coat, Carl Craig, Steve Lawler, Peter Inspirescu, Rhadoo, Audiofly, Hernan Cattaneo Way Out West, (Nick Warren & Jody Wisternoff) with more to be announced.

In addition to the music, the festival will also offer food trucks, art installations, a floating lounge offering specular oceanfront views, a juice bar, body massages, and a vendor pop-up village.

Take a breath and enjoy the four stages of electronic delights and numerous amenities. Rapture Music Festival will be an excellent way to welcome another year of WMC carnage, insomnia, and greasy South Beach pizza.

The festival will start at noon and end around 2 a.m. Early bird tickets start at $40 and can be purchased on Eventbrite or Resident Advisor.
