Helena Legend has become one of dance music’s most prominent DJs and electronic producers, showcasing her depth with electro, progressive and house beats. She takes her classical skills on the cello and piano and amplifies it when teamed with an electro barrage. Her musical prowess came full circle with her debut single “Girl From The Sky,” which reached No. 1 on the Australian Club charts for four weeks. After her release of “Levity” featuring Shawnee Taylor, landing a Top 10 spot on Beatport, she dominated charted and festival stages and released “Raven,” which became an instant summer anthem.
The U.K born, Australian-bred DJ has gained a large support from big name DJs like Hardwell, Nicky Romero, Ummet Ozcan, R3hab and many more after she released “Legend” and “Shake It.” She’s also guest mixed on Tiesto’s “Club Life,” which lent her an even greater exposure. After recently launching her last EP, No Explanations – Part 1, Legend continues leading The Revolution with a part 2 of her EP.
The Aussie triple threat demonstrated her personal and musical maturity through the EP’s futuristic melodies, rhythmic basslines and sultry vocals; now she brings us Part 2 of No Explanations, featuring three sassy, fiery tracks. On “Ghost Ya,” a collaboration with Sophie Hintz, Helena lays down the law on a clingy man, then heads out on the town for the feminine party tune “One Night” featuring Sade Serena. Legend rounds out the package with “No No No,” the EP’s most powerful track, complete with brassy bass and old-school Dawn Penn sampling that makes for an absolute club weapon. Part 2 of No Explanations only serves to reinforce Helena Legend’s message: she has stepped outside of her musical comfort zone into an empowered maturity that will carry her further and wider than she has ever gone before.
