It seems like it was only very recently that Calvin Harris dropped “Slide,” and now he has suddenly dropped his newest single, “Heatstroke” featuring Ariana Grande, Young Thug and Pharrell Williams.
Harris is adding another star-studded collaboration to his collection of top hits, and it sounds like another summer anthem, which is sure to be played constantly on the radio. The song, which was recorded at God’s Eyes Studios in L.A. and Circle House Studios in Miami, is the sixth non-album single Harris has released since 2015.
In the song, you can hear the Scottish producer utilizing a real piano, a flexitone, a synthesizer and a 1965 Fender Stratocaster. Williams’ and Grande’s vocals give the track a smooth funk-pop vibe, while Young Thug’s rap style comes off like a natural unique vocal styling.
Listen to “Heatstroke” below, out now on Sony Music.
