SoundCloud has implemented a brand new feature that allows users to stream custom-tailored playlists crafted from their listening history.

As a way to help further push music discovery, the start-up streaming platform launched ‘The Upload,’ which looks at previous likes and plays in order to deliver a playlist based on those findings. All the tracks are new (as in, a few days old or less) and the update is available on desktop, Android, and iOS.

As a platform that is primarily used for underground and one-off music discovery, adding an additional feature as this one helps push the brand forward. On top of offering specific services at a reduced cost, putting the listeners’ needs first is something that should continue to drive the additional usage that they are looking for as a music discovery service–especially one that typically gets thrown to the side in favor of Spotify, Pandora, and Apple Music. This added service is something that should result in a more enhanced SoundCloud experience for both listeners and artists alike.

The Upload is all about surfacing more of what you’re into, or what you might be, and is the go-to destination for a regularly updated, bespoke playlist of new music relevant to you. – SoundCloud

The more you listen to on SoundCloud, the better The Upload will surface new artists and music tailored to your specific taste. The Upload is available via the Discover tab on web, in the Search tab on iOS and Android.
