JOYRYDE takes his art to the next level with this self-directed, utterly evil visual accompaniment to his newest dark tune “New Breed ft. Darnell Williams.” True to its name, this track and matching horror story are unlike anything we could have expected.

The track starts off as a slow-churning hip-hop beat, complete with smooth vocals from LA-based wordsmith Darnell Williams. The song disintegrates into a bass-filled wonderland complete with chopped-up laser breakdowns. The accompanying music video was written, directed and edited by JOYRYDE himself, and tells a dark tale complete with violence, danger, and as the press image would suggest, satanic rituals. The video is shot from disturbing, distorting angles with almost psychedelic effects, showcasing JOYRYDE’s obvious knowledge of film technique. This blood-pumping video makes a perfect match with JOYRYDE’s dangerous track.

“New Breed” was released last Friday on OWSLA’s HOWSLA compilation, curated by Skrillex and Chris Lake. Peep JOYRYDE’s tour dates below. Experience it here, if you dare:
