New Zealand native QUIX, brings out his super cool side with his Heaps Cool EP. This six-track electronic mass of sound is bound to take over streaming services and charts around the globe. His debut on Dim Mak, Steve Aoki‘s label, is allowing him to take his music to the next level. Heaps Cool was exclusively premiered on Billboard. The EP consists of “Four Letter Lie,” “Alpaca” (ft. XO Man), “Riot Call” (ft. Nevve), “Lucy’s Place,” “Deep Home (Hold Up),” and “Sweet Thing.”
QUIX’s unique sonic brand puts a damper on anybody’s genre-binding assumptions. He takes trap to new levels, redefining any other genre that he stumbles upon through his productions. Heaps Cool is a plethora of trap, hip-hop, dubstep, and future bass music. He’s found the perfect collaborators for this EP: XO Man and Nevve. It’s no doubt that QUIX is going to continue to deliver fire similar to this flame that is Heaps Cool. The sonic journey that Heaps Cool takes you on is one that all trap, hip-hop, dubstep, and pop lovers and listeners should experience.
Back in April, QUIX released “Riot Call,” the first single off of the EP. The track was a smashing hit, garnering an impressive 1.5 million streams in a little over a month. He was also named “Artist To Watch” back in 2016 by YourEDM and Run The Trap, has released music on Buygore, Fool’s Gold, NEST, Mad Decent, and Dim Mak. Furthermore, QUIX has performed at SXSW, Miami Music Week, and Middelands. He also has confirmed shows at EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, and Paradiso this summer.
