OWSLA’s Valentino Khan created the infectious Mad Decent song “Pump” as a follow-up to his April release “Hello (feat. Keno).” The bass house extravaganza “Pump” is marinated in jungle beats, bouncy trampoline synths and street musician percussion. In a 2016 Music Radar article, the Californian revealed his preferred DAW and plugins setup: Xfer Records’ Advanced Wavetable Synthesizer Serum, Apple Logic Pro X, Native Instruments Massive, Nicky Romero Kickstart and Camel Audio CamelCrusher; Valentino Khan’s Aug. 2015 Diplo & Friends Mix couldn’t be a more perfect example of how Khan utilizes this software to create unprecedented compositions.

Khan’s extensive collaborative repertoire includes artists such as Major Lazer, T.I., 2 Chainz and Bruno Mars. Forever known as Mr. “Deep Down Low,” Valentino Khan’s 2015 banger has amassed 6,702,174 SoundCloud streams. Friday, July 7 marks my third time seeing Valentino and his refined handlebar mustache perform live. Whether there are 10,000 or 100 concertgoers, Khan’s ass-kicking sets are consistent across the board.
