This week UK superstar Dua Lipa released her latest self-titled debut album. Dua Lipa has been one of this year’s most highly anticipated albums.
Dua Lipa’s self-entitled album release comes after a year-long tour of sold out shows in the US and international markets, as well as 3.8 million sales of her singles. Her album release is chalked full of catchy pop tunes laced with tropical house feels. “Hotter Than Hell” and “Lost in Your Light” ft Miguel were released as tropical house singles and have already established Dua Lipa as a pop powerhouse distinguished by her soulful vocals. Her debut album was inspired by her past relationships – her stories of heartbreak and love are something everyone can relate to.
Dua co-wrote the album with producers Stephen “KOZ” Kozmeniuk (who’s production and writing credits include Madonna, Nicki Minaj, and Kendrick Lamar), Emile Haynie (think Lana Del Rey and FKA Twigs), Nineteen 85 (Grammy-winning producer who’s worked with Drake, Majid Jordon, and more) and Jon Levine (a Canadian producer, songwriter, and former keyboardist and songwriter for The Philosopher Kings). With so many big names on her album, Dua Lipa is on the fast-track to success. Dua Lipa was recorded between London, Los Angeles, Toronto, and New York.
“Dua Lipa” is out now and available on standard and deluxe CD, limited edition colored vinyl, and on many digital platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Play, Apple Music and iTunes. Click here to choose a streaming platform.
Dua is expected to perform at US festivals this summer including Bonnaroo, Life is Beautiful, and the B96 Pepsi Summer bash in Chicago. Visit her tour dates here.
