Steve Aoki is on fire lately, with releases such as “Night Call” and the announcement of his upcoming album, Kolony, which will release on July 21 via Dim Mak Records/Ultra Records.

This upcoming project marks Aoki’s first full turn into rap music, and he is teasing fans with what’s to come with his latest track, “LIT” with Yellow Claw featuring T-Pain and Gucci Mane.

“The third installment in the first Kolony album is “LIT” with Yellow Claw, Gucci Mane and T-Pain. A head banger for sure guaranteed to get you LIT!” said Aoki.

The new track features T-Pain invoking Queen’s “We Are the Champions” on the chorus for “Lit,” laid down in Aoki’s Las Vegas studio with Yellow Claw and shipped off to Gucci Mane to round it out with a verse.

With nearly 10 years of hip-hop collaborations, Aoki describes this album as “bridging the gap” between the genres. “LIT” comes off the recent announcement of Kolony, which will feature hard-hitting rhymes from some of the most prominent lyricists today, including Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, Migos, 2 Chainz, ILOVEMAKONNEN, Wale, and more.

Aoki recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of his imprint Dim Mak, which was founded in 1996, encompassing everything from edgy rock to electro. Other producers within the Dim Mak family helped Aoki celebrate at major festivals around the world along with a release of a special edition compilation album.
