Dirtybird Campout is shaping up to be the best summer camp anyone 21 and over could ever imagine. Not only have they provided a stellar lineup full of tech house all-stars and wonky bass producers, but they’ve also just recently announced their list of activities to participate in throughout the weekend.
There will be the returning favorites that include archery, stand-up comedy, karaoke, dodge ball, knot tying, and tug-of-war. The new activities that the Dirtybird camp counselors are hosting will be the Tour de Dance, totem crafting, outdoor science lab, star hikes, disc golf, and Simon Says. Of course, participating in these events is not required of you. If you want to dance your heart out all day and all night long, nobody is going to stop you (last year’s late night stage went until 7 a.m.). You are however, highly encouraged to sign up for one of the four-colored teams so you can participate in some good-hearted competition. The winners will receive the ever so glorious Ironbird trophy, along with the ultimate bragging rights.
Some of my fondest memories as a kid were created at summer camps. I can’t imagine how much of a massive nostalgia blast this will be, paired alongside the beats of the recently crowned “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag. Don’t forget, nearly all of the Dirtybird family will be participating in these events as well, so this is a perfect opportunity to get to know some of your favorite artists! Expect to see the always jolly Claude VonStroke tearing it up at any and every activity. This will be Dirtybird’s third round of their campout festivities, and it’s looking like it could be the best one so far.
