YouTube has released its global and U.S. lists for this year’s ‘Song of the Summer.’
The list, which is comprised of songs released within the past year, is ranked by global and and U.S. views across YouTube between Memorial Day 2017 and Labor Day 2017. Unsurprisingly, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” tops both charts, making it the No. 1 song of the summer in the across the globe.
Other top tracks include Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” and DJ Khaled’s “I’m the One” ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper, and Lil Wayne. Of the 25 tracks listed, 16 of them feature Latin artists. It’s also interesting to note that despite being released just a week prior to Memorial Day weekend, Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” still managed to earn enough views to make the U.S. list.
