In the wake of a horrifying Las Vegas massacre, the bad news continues.
APEX, an influential figure in the drum and bass scene, has passed away. The British-born DJ and producer was an iconic figure in the DnB scene for over a decade. Even prior to his solo career, Robert Dickeson was a member of drum and bass duo Unkown Error. His career was full of accomplishments, from winning Beatport D&B track of the year in 2008, to releasing on highly regarded labels like mau5trap under his alias Robert Oaks. He also released music under the alias Midnight Lamp.
Dickeson was a talented multi-instrumentalist with guitar as his main instrument, which he had began playing at the young age of 12. Not many details have been released about Dickeson’s death, but artists and labels alike are offering their condolences to the late artist.
