Acclaimed Danish producer and songwriter David Mørup takes to his moniker Dehiro for a fantastic new release.
Having worked with big local artists, such as Scarlet Pleasure, Suspekt and Lukas Graham, the talented artist has proven his capabilities to deliver a wicked tune, whether it take hold in the form of soul, hip-hop, rock, pop or EDM.
For his brand new single, Dehiro teams up with U.K. writer James Newman (Rudimental, Ed Sheeran etc.) and American writer Clarence Coffee Jr. (Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Selena Gomez etc.), and features Coffee on vocals.
On his new brand new solo project, Dehiro says: “I have worked for 10 years as a producer for others, and I wanted to do a project where I am 100% free and have the creative saying. I love working with artists, but it is always a musical compromise in the end. So I came up with Dehiro to have a creative outlet, where I create music with no limits. I love being diverse and cross styles of music to make something new.”
His brand new single “Machine” begins smoothly, leading into radio-friendly vocals reminiscent of Maroon 5’s addictive style, before exploding into silky chords and vocal chopping. The track is a perfect dance/electronic hybrid that showcases the all-around talent involved in its creation.
“Machine,” which is all about “the disconnection of real and natural human interaction,” according to Coffee, stands as an ode to the intimacy factor that humans crave for one another.
