The second single from Tchami and Malaa’s collaborative No Redemption EP is now up for grabs. “The Sermon” has a much different vibe than the duo’s previous single, “Summer ‘99,” which was a bass-heavy screecher that combined Malaa’s old school style with Tchami’s new school tone.

On “The Sermon,” Tchami seems to follow Malaa’s lead with the repetitive, classic, vocal cuts that revolve around a thick bass line. It’s a simple but groovy tune that seems like it could be right out of the ’90s. Of course, we don’t know which French house producer did exactly what on the track, but from the old school vibes I’m getting from “The Sermon,” I’m going to go out on a limb and say this song started as Malaa’s idea.

The clock is ticking down to the final weeks before the full collab EP finally becomes available to the public. We don’t know when exactly this will be, but we do know it is due out sometime in November, so keep your eyes out. Tchami and Malaa are about to start the No Redemption tour to go along with the EP, and it’s the first time they’ll be appearing on stage together in a one-of-a-kind back to back performance.
