Alison Wonderland has finally given us the news we’ve been all waiting for.
As revealed via Instagram Live last night, the Australian DJ/producer/singer/songwriter’s next album will titled Awake. Even more exciting, the first track from the album, titled “Happy Place,” will be released this Friday.
As Alison is usually quite candid with her fans, she opened up about the inspiration behind the upcoming single, revealing that she wrote the track while contemplating suicide. She played the track to fans during her intimate live stream, and included the lyrics for lucky viewers as well.
Straight up I wrong 'happy place' when contemplating suicide. I wrote it about making choices. I made the choice to call my friends.

I've never been in such a dark place and I hope when people hear it they know that there are ways to get out of it and it can be ok
