EDC Orlando did it again.
For the 8th consecutive time, Electric Daisy Carnival Orlando transformed the iconic Tinker Field into a colorful oasis filled with non-stop excitement and music. EDC Orlando 2018 welcomed a sold-out crowd–and record-breaking attendance–of 110,000 ‘Headliners’ as they took to the festival grounds while exploring mesmerizing art installations, adrenaline-pumping carnival rides, and mystical and theatrical performers.
As fans entered the mystical festival grounds, the Technicolor Marching Band, Rebel Rockets, Electric Barbarellas, Party Animals and other playful costumed performers greeted them beneath rows of neon-lit electric daisies and lanterns strung from the treetops. This year the carnival had more art installations and colorful stations than previous years, demonstrating to the fans that it only gets better and better each year.
The reimagined version of KineticFIELD made its way across the country for Orlando Headliners. The new design showcased the meaning of Kinetic Love as towering majestic figures guarded the heart of the festival. The reimagined structure, featuring 30 lasers, 16 fog machines, 6 confetti canons, 12 CO2 jets, LED tiles and 39 flame units, housed some of the world’s top dance music artists, such as Martin Garrix, JOYRYDE and Alesso. Dillon Francis & Friends brought a special treat to Headliners on Friday with mini Gerald piñatas and a surprise set alongside renowned artist Alison Wonderland. Tiësto’s sunset set on Saturday set the tone for the final night and lit up the Orlando sky with the largest set of the weekend.
The VIP area had some upgrades and new and exciting things going on, including dedicated dance areas at each of the stages, a VIP Ferris wheel, a splash pool with floaties and lifeguards, life-size chess, a kandi-making station, body paint, beauty bar and much more, all of which made the VIP experience very exclusive and fun.
EDC Orlando is always a very magical and fun experience for every headliner that attends. We are pretty sure EDC Orlando will keep making history every year.
