Following the release of his critically-acclaimed NOVA album, trap music genius RL Grime is now ready to give us a very special Christmas present: a massive remixed version.
The producer confirmed today on Twitter that the remix package will be a two-parter, with part one dropping December 7th, and part two coming just one week later on December 14th. Along with the release dates, a stacked lineup of artists set to reimagine the record was also announced, including the likes of QUIX, Valentino Khan, 1788-L, MYRNE, K?d, Said the Sky, Eptic and Hex Cougar, to name just a few.
NOVA was RL Grime’s second full-length studio LP, after 2014’s highly-revered VOID, which also received a remix album that included artists such as Mura Masa, Astronomar, DJ Sliink, and Wuki. NOVA retained RL Grime’s characteristically big, epic productions, while also bringing in more hip-hop influences with features from Joji, Ty Dolla $ign, Chief Keef, Tory Lanez, and Jeremih. One can only guess how these producers will choose to reimagine the album, considering they have such a great starting point already.
Look out for part one dropping this Friday, December 7th, and watch the full teaser below:
