Bass music trio WAVEDASH is known for their haunting, dark and menacing bass sound. A fruitful 2018 saw them collaborating with NGHTMRE (“Grave” on Mad Decent), SLANDER (“Move Back” on Insomniac Records) and releasing on Mat Zo’s Mad Zoo (Devil Music EP). The streak continues as their latest release, “Whiplash,” arrives through NGHTMRE and SLANDER‘s Gud Vibrations imprint.
The track immediately introduces an eerie synth sound, taking the listeners on a wild ride. As the track progresses, the punching bass blasts, cinematic chords, and a set of grimy drops lure us into a demonic soundscape. It is the perfect frenzied dancefloor killer for any bass heads.
“‘Whiplash’ is a track that underwent more changes than we can even remember. The end product was something we were hoping would appeal to DJ’s and listeners alike, and we’re really excited with how it came out,” WAVEDASH shares.
“Whiplash” is the third single off the duo’s upcoming Opening Ceremony EP. The track is emblematic of the forward-thinking artists behind the track. We’re excited to see what they have in store for us in 2019. Listen to the track below.
