Young trap producer sumthin sumthin has dropped his latest single, “Home,” a personal and artistic journey through sound that’s proving why this LA-based producer is one to watch in the scene.
Airy interludes float like clouds breathing life into a track that then amps things up with a drop that personifies sumthin sumthin’s signature bouncy growling bass stylings. The song is mysterious and beautiful, yet dark and brooding, and at the same time will not fail to get your head bobbing and crowds going crazy. Born Conrad Jeremy Woodul, the musical journey embodied in his song is reminiscent of Woodul’s own personal journey in life. He says of the single, “The title ‘Home’ is representative of my struggle finding a place to settle down and have a place to call my own . . . That is what makes the contrast between the sounds in this song, combining anger and frustration with the happiness and light from people who constantly support and surround me during this uncomfortable situation in this stage of my life.”
Sumthin sumthin has been grinding his way through the trap scene with a slot on UZ’s 2018 Rebirth Tour, as well as a special sample pack, Metropolis, with the trap king himself. Currently, sumthin sumthin has embarked on his very own headline Winter Tour with Luca Lush, with three more dates on this first leg and more dates to come.
