Up-and-coming producer Floret Loret builds anticipation for his forthcoming Tangled Roots EP with a stunning new single.
The Florida native pays homage to his Peruvian roots with “Cantuta,” a melodic and experimental release that showcases his remarkable production abilities. The forward-thinking piece provokes feelings of nostalgia by offering a unique emotional element that pairs flawlessly with ingredients of bass-inspired sound design. This Flume-meets-G Jones arrangement is a beautiful introduction to the producer’s debut EP, which is due March 12th.
“Cantuta is the flower of Peru. I’m American with Peruvian roots, and was raised with both American and Peruvian cultures,” said Floret Loret. “I initially started writing a bunch of Future Bass music, so what I wanted to do was gradually have it change to an experimental track. I wanted this to be a representation of my music, both melodic and experimental styles. I think it also shows what direction I want my music to go in.”
With releases on Great Dane’s ADBC Records, Phuture Collective, VALE and more, and recent support from industry heavyweights like Ekali and Alison Wonderland, Floret Loret is quickly becoming recognized in the underground SoundCloud community for having a unique and robust sound.
