The boys are back! The trio Swedish House Mafia has just recently been signed to Columbia Records, following a five-year hiatus after their last show at the beginning of 2013. The group had seemingly gone their separate ways when last March they reappeared back into the electronic music scene for Ultra’s 20th Anniversary in Miami, Florida.
Columbia Records is a huge name in the entertainment industry, and rumor is that they won a bidding war against Republic Records or Universal Music to sign the trio last week. There are big plans in the future for Swedish House Mafia as Columbia Records is home to hit artists like Daft Punk, Adele, and Calvin Harris. Swedish House Mafia doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon as they are recording some new tunes in the studio and also are about to embark on a tour across Europe this summer. They even plan on making a stop at Ultra South Korea along the way.
