Belgian bass music producer Eptic and recent HARD Summer headliner Dillon Francis join forces to put out the summer banger “Let It Go.” Tropical sounding plucks and pitch-bent vocals start the track with a relaxing, beach party vibe before horns and alarms build tension. In beloved moombahton fashion, the drop comes in with a hard, bouncy rhythm complemented by metallic synth leads. The second chorus mixes things up, encouraging listeners to drop with the half time tempo switch-up.
Especially proud of the cover art, Dillon Francis explained on socials that he jokingly wanted the two of them hanging on a cliff recreating Michelangelo’s painting The Creation of Adam. Eptic came back a few days later with a preliminary sketch, which Monstercat actually brought to life in comical style.
The release comes ahead of Eptic’s forthcoming Flesh & Blood EP on Monstercat and his headline tour of the same name kicking off in October. “Let It Go” proves to be a perfect blend between the radio-friendly sounds of the summer and the festival energy that’s normally expected from these two in this fitting collaboration.
“Let It Go” is out now on Monstercat on all streaming platforms.
