Fresh off headlining HARD Summer and playing her first sold-out show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Alison Wonderland is keeping busy by dropping a new single with New Zealand bass producer Quix named “TIME.” The collaboration premiered on Billboard Dance and takes listeners on a journey through different genres and tempos, blending the two artists’ unique sounds nicely.
Trance-like plucks are set against a midtempo rhythm, creating a late night mood that could almost be considered deep house. That all changes as a quick tempo switch drops us into a heavy trap pattern with drums to match. Alison’s longing vocals enter and so does more bass as listeners are treated to a distinct third drop, all within the span of three and a half minutes.
The track is accompanied by a trip-inducing visualizer and comes a week after Alison’s acoustic video of her vocal-showcasing song “Peace“. The Australian producer will be playing Electric Zoo on September 1st, Dancefestopia on September 6th and Imagine Music Festival on September 20th, while Quix is currently on his Force of Nature tour with support from artists Juelz and Montell2099.
“TIME” is out now on all streaming platforms.
