Electric Zoo brings the heat with their lineup each and every year, and I don’t mean that same ‘diverse’ bullshit every other festival is spewing only to announce the same headliners and a few new artists mixed in each and every year. I’m consistently impressed with the iconic New York festival’s lineup and their ability to incorporate unique stages, exciting up-and-comers and sought-after headliners all while maintaining their high level of standards.
For 2019, the festival has curated a Labor Day Weekend event worthy of any stubborn fan’s attendance thanks to a wide variety of performers that cover just about all of the genres. From dubstep to house to trap to techno and everything in between, you’re sure to get a taste of it all at Electric Zoo 2019.
With such a hefty lineup, we thought it’d only be right to pick some of our favorites to make your weekend planning a little bit easier. Check them out below, and if you haven’t already, grab your tickets for this year’s festival at electriczoo.com.
Skrillex and Boys Noize are two of the most influential people in electronic music to date, so it’s no question that magic happens when they’re together. Having had the honor of seeing Dog Blood live at HARD Summer 2017, I can assure you that you’ll want to be here early for this. The duo is known to bring a massive crowd and with Skrillex recently revealing that he has some bangers on the way, you won’t want to miss this one. Catch them Sunday on the main stage
Boogie T B2B SQUNTO
If dubstep is your thing, then you already know that Boogie T b2b SQUNTO will be the place to be this weekend. The bass bosses will likely be bringing their arsenal of dubplates, doubles and disorder to the stage for this year’s festival. If you’re in need of some headbanging, then this will satisfy you, and if you’re not, well, this set will probably change your mind. Catch them Sunday at Hilltop Arena (GUD VIBRATIONS).
PEEKABOO has had one of his most explosive couple of years to date, and it’s no secret why. From his fan-favorite WAKAAN EPs to his recent Deadbeats releases and a heap of tour dates with REZZ that just kicked off, there’s no better time to catch PEEKABOO than at Electric Zoo. Plus, he’ll likely drop his upcoming collab with Dirt Monkey and that’s reason enough to be there. Catch him Friday at Riverside (Brownies & Lemonade).
Having seen Kittens several times now, I can confidently say that the LA-based DJ/producer continuously throws down some of my favorite sets. With a primarily hip-hop and trap-focused vibe, she’ll definitely throw down the perfect set to end summer festival season on a bang. If there’s a set you’ll want your Shazam ready for, it’s this one. Catch her Friday at Riverside (Brownies & Lemonade).
If you’ve ever seen Zeke Beats live, then you already know that missing one of his sets is a crime. Not only will he play some of the heaviest and most unique bass music you’ll hear all weekend, but he’ll do it while flexing his insane turntablist skills. Plus, he’s been caught playing some wild IDs out, so you can acquire some bragging rights being able to hear them live. Catch him Saturday at Riverside.
