ZHU and NGHTMRE come together for an unlikely but refreshing collaboration on “Man’s First Inhibition.” Like a good collaboration should, the track combines the best of both artists’ talents and creates something unlike anything either artist has released individually.
Starting with an innocent but mysterious arp pattern, the track quickly shifts into a trap beat showcasing ZHU’s iconic and sultry vocals. Glitches and oscillating synth stabs build into a drop that sets an after-hours, late-night feel. Pittsburgh rapper Kidd Keem enters the frame in the latter half, completely switching the vibe with his braggadocious flow.
ZHU has recently hinted at a few more tracks coming this year while NGHTMRE just came off his track “REDLIGHT” with A$AP Ferg and continues on the Alchemy Tour with SLANDER, Seven Lions and The Glitch Mob. It’s exciting to see such artists from different genres blend their musical styles to create something unexpected and keep listeners on their toes.
“Man’s First Inhibition” is out now via Ultra Music on streaming platforms.
