This year’s KAABOO Del Mar was nothing short of extraordinary with a nearly sold-out crowd, diverse lineup and a series of massive brand new silent disco parties. Headliners like Mumford & Sons, Kings of Leon, Dave Matthews Band, Duran Duran, Black Eyed Peas and more led the classic KAABOO spirit for thousands of fans at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Not to mention amazing art exhibits, massive live painted murals, gourmet food options and colorful lighting across the festival grounds.
KAABOO accommodated their VIP guests well with Hang Five and Hang Ten passes that included exclusive sets, a stageside pool, spacious sandy viewing areas, and elevated private cabanas. The Humor Me room provided a great comic relief with famous comedians like Jimmy Yang and Bob Saget, who was also a special guest performer with the band Revivalists on the Grandview Stage.
What impressed me the most about KAABOO Del Mar 2019 was their new Silent Disco on both Friday and Saturday night. The huge Grandview stage was converted into a silent disco, complete with thousands of wireless headsets for the late-night dancers of KAABOO. A green and blue DJ on stage gave viewers the option to jam on different wavelengths while in the same crowd. KAABOO has some exciting changes for 2020 including a location change from its original home at the Del Mar Fairgrounds to Petco Park in downtown San Diego.
