Sans The Blade 2.0, The Glitch Mob‘s edIT, Boreta and Ooah transported me to an abstruse abyss. They executed “Mind of a Beast” from 2014’s Love Death Immortality in the front of a kaleidoscope backdrop. Low fidelity manipulation, stutters, beat repeat, pitched reverses and cuts, as well as Roland RE-201 Space Echo plug-ins, swarmed the crowd; The Glitch Mob’s distinctive sound and ‘cool without trying’ stage presence solidified them as luminaries.

The three musketeers, NGHTMRE‘s Tyler Marenyi plus SLANDER’s Derek Andersen and Scott Land, kicked off the night with a “GUD VIBRATIONS” and “Like A Bitch” mashup. Their turnt up nature matched The Alchemy Tour‘s supreme visual content—a galaxy cluster, GUD VIBRATIONS razzle-dazzle marquee, strobe storm, amethyst- and cobalt-colored lasers alongside CO2 cannons—leaving me shook. I even paid for a tour t-shirt.
