San Francisco and Tehran tunesmith Ardalan dropped his 11-track debut LP, Mr. Good, via Dirtybird. Mr. Good subsumes visionary tech house, minimal/deep tech and drum and bass; simultaneously, Ardalan’s Ardalan Noghre-Kar taps into nostalgic intricacies such as modest minor keys and wistful Iranian or Persian melodies. Noghre-Kar gifts admirers with an attractive alternative to today’s chipper tech house craze.

“I called it ‘Mr. Good’ because I wanted to talk about the idea of how we as people always somehow wear a mask… hiding our mistakes or flaws,” Noghre-Kar told Your EDM. “This album is [saying] we all should just be ourselves, and not give a fuck but be a good person.”
